A new year often brings new intentions, new ventures, and – if you’re an artist – new releases!
Dark Celtic Folk Musician and Singer, Tiffany Apan, is starting the new year with a new musical offering titled Gothic Celt.
Gothic Celt is a ten song compilation of previous releases, each song carefully selected to fully embody what the title represents. The idea for the title came from the blog given to her on the Celtic Nations Magazine website. Tiffany began writing for Celtic Nations Magazine in early 2021 and was soon after given a blog on the website, the title of the blog given to her by the magazine’s editor, Erin Rado. In that moment, Tiffany’s identity as an artist was updated and cemented.
“I’ve gone through a lot of changes since my first releases and this first release for the new year is representative of that evolution and the person I’ve become,” she states.
The tracklist on the Gothic Celt album includes original songs like “Ghost” and “Ashes to Dust”, along with some traditional such as “Scarborough Fair” and “Greensleeves.” The styles of the songs range from leaning toward Gothic Rock to a more mystical Celtic Folk sound. Musical influences include Loreena McKennitt, Tarja, Nightwish, Kate Bush, and Sarah Brightman.
Gothic Celt will be released on January 1, 2022 and will be available on the artist’s Bandcamp page, along with Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, and other digital retailers.
