The Hidden Library, Episode 1: Victorian Secrets, by Sarah A. Chrisman

In this premiere episode of The Hidden Library Podcast, I discuss the book Victorian Secrets: What a Corset Taught Me About the Past, Present, and Myself by Sarah A. Chrisman.
As a history nerd and someone who is heavily involved with the living history and reenactment world, I frequently am asked about the clothing I wear at these events, and especially the corset (or stays).
I have my own experiences and thoughts on this subject (which I do discuss in this episode), and in this episode I discuss the experience that the book's author, Sarah A. Chrisman, had from the moment she tried on her first Victorian era corset, to her journey to self discovery and expression through dressing and living as a Victorian lady in the modern world.

Sarah A. Chrisman's book, Victorian Secrets is available on Amazon and other book sellers:
